Subsea Tieback Forum

On March 5th, OffshoreTech’s business development delegates attended the Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. With over 200 exhibitors representing various subsea companies, and over 3,000 attendees, the convention was an appropriate starting point in our new efforts.

On the event’s website, the convention is described thus:

Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition is scheduled for March 4-6, 2014 in San Antonio, TX at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Over 3,000 attendees and over 200 exhibitors are expected to participate. You can’t afford to miss it.
This year’s event theme is “It All Ties Back to Here.” As our industry changes, the sharing of knowledge and collective experiences becomes more and more crucial to improving the quality, safety, and economics of the subsea tieback industry.
This year's program theme is "Sharing The Knowledge." The conference board will once again solicit a number of key presentations by industry leaders.  As in the past, only by participating in this conference will you be able to receive its benefits, as proceedings will not be published and no Press is ever allowed in the conference area. This is truly a closed forum with open discussion, where the information shared inside the conference room stays inside the conference room. We hope you will join us in San Antonio for the 2014 Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition.

The convention is one of the largest in the industry, and certainly the largest focusing on the subsea sector, with representation from companies all around the world. Like all conventions, it serves as a popular mixing ground for those looking to propagate their own brand as well as absorb information about new technologies from others.

The OffshoreTech delegates took the opportunity to meet and reinforce relationships with presently allied partners, including some of the biggest names in oil and gas. But at such a large gathering, there is always room for new prospective projects, and therefore OTL was able to introduce themselves to many previously unconnected companies as well.
