The Aasta Hansteen Spar upending is a master piece of engineering

Another important milestone for this project has been achieved. The substructure for the Aasta Hansteen platform has been upended to its vertical position in the west coast of Norway. Around fifty million liters of water were pumped into the hull tanks to make the world’s largest spar-platform rise. Once the upending was over, 160 meters of the 200-meter-long substructure were submerged under water. It is always impressive to see this type of mega stractures come together after many years of hard work and OTL can not be more proud to be part of this significant project.
