On February 5th 2014, two members of the OffshoreTech, LLC business development team attended the TOPSIDES Platforms – Hulls convention at the Moody Gardens Center in Galveston, Texas.

This was the fourth year for this convention, and it attracted 133 exhibitors as well as 1,800 attendees. From their website, the convention describes itself thus:

Topsides, Platforms & Hulls allows for the free and open exchange of ideas, as proceedings will not be published and press is not allowed to attend the sessions. Only by participating in this conference will you reap its benefits.

The advisory board will solicit presentations from industry leaders who address the latest in trends, issues and developments. Attendees can expect to learn and discuss the real-life issues and solutions relevant to the topsides, platforms and hulls industry.

As such, the convention is an important meeting ground for industry players on an international scale and a valuable opportunity for scoping potential projects. The OTL delegates were able to successfully reinforce existing business relationships as well as extend the company brand for greater exposure amongst new potential partners.
