Last year OTL was awarded a contract by Petronas and MMC Oil & Gas to study the removal and decommissioning the Sepat EPS, which consists of ten production wells, a MOPU, an FSO, and two flowlines connecting the structures. OTL performed the technical feasibility and conceptual design of different decommissioning options, in addition to the installation of a new permanent WHP.

With the conclusion of the study, a roundtable review was set up earlier this month and held at the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, to discuss the final draft. Attending the study were members of OTM Solution Sdn Bhd and the Petronas Sepat Decommissioning team, with representatives from various departments such as operations, drilling, structure, floaters, and cost control.

The presentation was lead by OTL President Mr. Jim Li, and assisted by Dr. Alex Ran and Mr, Chao Lu. After the successful review, the study was deemed ready for final submission.
